A freestanding fireplace is the fastest way to have fire in a home without a chimney: unpack, place, fill and light. Planika's freestanding bioethanol fireplaces use BEV technology, so the flame is automatic, odourless and monitored by sensors, and freestanding water vapour models give a cold flame with no fuel at all. No permits, no flue, no renovation, and the fireplace can move with you.

Choosing a freestanding model

Think about the room size (2 to 4 kW of heat from a BEV device warms a living room noticeably), the style (wall-hugging, island or sculptural) and whether you want heat (bioethanol) or just the flame (water vapour). All models run on a standard power socket for the electronics and on Fanola fuel or tap water.
