Is the Senso Burner fireplace a bio-fireplace?
Yes, the Senso Burner belongs to the bio-fireplace category, but only because the fire is produced by burning ethanol. However, it is a completely different technology from common bio-fireplaces, because BEV technology provides full safety, comfort and control. In BEV technology the liquid itself is not burned, only its vapours - the fireplace draws a small amount of fuel, heats it and burns it. As a result, the flame never has direct contact with the liquid fuel, which significantly increases safety compared to standard bio-fireplaces. The entire operation is automatic and controlled by a microprocessor that continuously monitors the fireplace. The device uses numerous sensors that constantly check temperature, fuel level and any irregularities, and if detected, automatically stop the device to protect the user.
How does BEV technology work in the Senso Burner fireplace?
BEV technology is based on burning only ethanol vapours, which eliminates direct contact between the liquid fuel and the flame. No, the Senso Burner indoor fireplace does not require a chimney or additional ventilation. Our bioethanol (BEV) fireplaces burn ecological fuel of organic origin and do not produce harmful by-products, so they do not require a connection to ventilation or a chimney. They emit only trace amounts of carbon dioxide (comparable to the air exhaled by a human) and heat.
