Green fuel for ethanol vapour fireplaces

Planika is the exclusive manufacturer of Fanola ethanol fuel (also known as methylated spirit). Our product is based only on natural ingredients of plant origin. The ethanol fuel does not produce smoke, soot or ash and is neutral for the environment.

How is Fanola produced ?

A good quality ethanol is made of plants and obtained in a process of saccharine fermentation. Fanola is an ecologic and biologically clean product that is made in a process of multiple alcoholic distillation and double rectification of alcohol.

Recently, there are more and more fuels for bio-fireplaces on the market that are harmful and of poor quality.

These are synthetic ethanol fuels for technical purposes produced from petroleum by releasing alkenes or hydrolysis of sulfuric acid.

It contains pollutants that emit an unpleasant odour and can damage the sensors in a Planika automatic bio fireplace (which are the next generation fireplaces designed for burning ethanol vapours only).

Why is it clean burning?

The process of burning bioethanol fuel is considered “clean” and odourless, as the only by-products are heat, CO2 and water vapour.

Why not to use 100% ethanol?

It is important that label indicates thet ethanol is of plant origin and has no more than 95-96.6% of ethanol. A 100% ethyl alcohol is produced in the process of dehydration, resulting in a fuel full of impurities that can damage the fireplace and give off an unpleasant odour.

Why is it sustainable?

One of the products of bioethanol combustion is carbon dioxide. It is absorbed by plants in the process of photosynthesis, making the plant grow. This endless cycle of energy production and combustion makes bioethanol a carbon neutral fuel.
